1. Introduction and acceptance of these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MRCOG Academy website, question bank, courses and related services (together, the "Platform"), operated by MRCOG Academy ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, purchasing a standalone course, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

"Subscription" means a recurring-duration package (1, 3, 6 or 12 months) that unlocks the full question bank, included courses, mock exams and analytics for the stated period. "Standalone Course" means a product sold separately from any Subscription, currently limited to the MRCOG Part 3 Clinical Skills Intensive. "Content" means all questions, explanations, images, video lessons, mock papers and written material made available through the Platform. "You" or "Candidate" means the individual registering for or using an account.

3. Eligibility and account registration

The Platform is intended for medical professionals and trainees preparing for the MRCOG examinations, and for other individuals with a genuine interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology education. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, and accounts are personal and may not be shared or resold.

4. Subscriptions and billing

4.1 Plan durations and pricing

Subscriptions are available in four durations: 1 month (£39), 3 months (£99), 6 months (£169) and 12 months (£289), each inclusive of VAT where applicable. Every duration unlocks identical Content; only the length of access and the effective monthly cost differ.

4.2 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period for the same duration and at the then-current price, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account > Subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and stops the next renewal charge.

4.3 Price changes

We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Any price change will apply from your next renewal date onward and will be notified to you by email at least 14 days in advance.

5. Standalone course purchases

The MRCOG Part 3 Clinical Skills Intensive is purchased as a single, one-time payment of £249 and is not included in any Subscription plan. Purchasing a Subscription does not grant access to this course, and holding an active Subscription does not entitle you to a discount on it. Access to a purchased Standalone Course lasts 12 months from the date of purchase and does not depend on whether you also hold an active Subscription. Standalone Course purchases do not renew or recur.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a Subscription at any time; cancellation prevents future renewal charges but does not itself entitle you to a refund of the current period. Refund eligibility for both Subscriptions and Standalone Courses is set out in full in our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• share your account credentials or resell access to the Platform;
• copy, scrape, redistribute or publish Content outside the Platform;
• use automated tools to extract questions, images or explanations in bulk;
• attempt to circumvent access controls on Subscription or Standalone Course content;
• use the Platform in a manner that infringes the rights of others or breaches applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, without refund, where the breach is material.

8. Intellectual property

All Content, including question text, explanations, illustrative clinical images, video lessons and the Platform's design, is owned by or licensed to MRCOG Academy and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. A Subscription or Standalone Course purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access Content for your own examination preparation during your access period. No other rights are granted.

9. Medical disclaimer and affiliation

MRCOG Academy is an independent educational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists ("RCOG"). "MRCOG" is a postgraduate qualification awarded by the RCOG; our references to it are descriptive of the examinations our Content helps candidates prepare for and do not imply any partnership, licensing arrangement or endorsement by the RCOG.

All Content, including clinical scenarios, image-based questions and explanations, is provided solely for examination preparation and educational purposes. It must not be relied upon for actual patient care or as a substitute for local clinical protocols, current national guidance, or the judgement of a treating clinician. Clinical images used throughout the Platform are illustrative representations created or sourced for teaching purposes and are not images of identifiable patients.

No guarantee of examination success is made or implied. Examination outcomes depend on many factors beyond the use of any single revision resource, including individual study effort, clinical experience and exam performance on the day. We do not warrant that use of the Platform will result in a pass in any MRCOG examination.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MRCOG Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including loss of revision time, examination fees, or examination outcome. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or for legal or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be notified by email or by a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.
